GRAPHIC DESIGN OFFICER
Job Overview:
The Graphic Design Officer plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing and producing creative visual designs for PCRF across digital and print mediums. Responsibilities include designing visuals for the website, campaigns, fundraisers, events, presentations, banners, signage, and reports ensuring consistent and impactful representation of the organization's visual identity, mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
● Manage multiple projects, prioritize
tasks, and timelines.
● Finalize and uphold PCRF’s visual identity
● Establish a resource hub for templates and visual resources for team
members across the different departments to use.
● Providing resources and guidance to partners and volunteers on
correct usage of the organization's name and logo. Develop sample layouts and design
concepts, creating prototypes as needed.
● Generate innovative ideas and take ownership of creating
high-quality visual content aligned with the organization's brand and values.
● Design engaging visuals for both digital platforms and printed
materials, including reports, presentations, brochures, signage, promotional materials,
and social media posts, interpreting creative briefs to deliver impactful solutions
within project constraints.
● Take responsibility to ensure consistent brand representation across
all digital and print materials.
● Select appropriate imagery to complement written content and concept
reports.
● Prepare all visual designs for optimal high-quality printing and
digital viewing formats.
● Collaborate with the audiovisual production manager and digital
marketing/social media teams to integrate graphics into videos and enhance visual
content across various platforms.
● Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in visual design
and photography to continually enhance production processes.
● Fulfill other duties as assigned by the Communications Director.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's or Master’s degree in
graphic design or a related field.
● Five to nine years of professional experience in a similar
role.
● Experience working with NGOs or on social issues preferred.
● A strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in graphic design
across multiple platforms.
● Passion for communications and PCRF’s mission.
Skills:
● Exceptional verbal, written, and visual
communication skills.
● Proficient in graphic design and illustration software, such as
Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, lightroom and others.
● Proficient in photo editing and illustration design skills
● Proficient in finalising design files in optimal print and digital
formats.
● Experience in brand development and marketing principles.
● Knowledge of new AI tools in design is preferred.
● Experience in short video editing and motion graphics, reels and
story creation is preferred.
● Knowledge of e-newsletters and web design systems is
preferred.
● Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in documents,
spreadsheets, databases, presentations, multimedia, calendars, and email.
The Graphic Design Officer is a critical role that requires a dynamic individual who can work independently and collaboratively, with a deep understanding of the impact of communication on an organization's reputation and success.
Base of position: Jordan/West Bank/International with flexibility to
travel to different locations.
