4-year-old Malak is a Palestinian refugee  living in southern Lebanon who was sponsored through our One-Time Surgery Sponsorship program for life-saving open-heart surgery by Dr. Essam El Rassi at Hammoud Hospital.  The girl is recovering and ready to go home to her family.

Our partners in helping her included UNRWA, Health Care Society, Shefa, The PLO and members of the local community.  Hundreds of children in Lebanon and Jordan have had surgery through our humanitarian One-Time Surgery Sponsorship program
